Shaindy Jacobson is the director of The Rosh Chodesh Society, the woman's studies division at the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI).

Shaindy has been involved in the field of Jewish education for over forty years, teaching at the Associated Beth Rivkah Schools, in both their High School and Division of Higher Learning Teacher's Seminary. She has worked extensively with students at risk and served as community liaison and counselor for Operation Survival – a substance abuse prevention program. Shaindy is also the co-founder of Living Legacies, an organization dedicated to bringing comfort, joy, and laughter to Jewish children bereaved by the loss of a parent. She is an accomplished musician and deeply passionate about the edifying role music plays in enhancing and enriching our lives.

Shaindy lectures around the world, educating women about their Jewish heritage and its relevance in the symphony of life.

Shaindy resides in Brooklyn, NY, together with her husband Simon. She is proudest of, and most thankful for, her G-d given gifts - her children and grandchildren
